Tyrrell Elementary School has announced the following employee transfers, which will begin Monday, October 18th, for the 2021-2022 school year.
Mrs. Glenna Basnight, Second Grade Teacher of Tyrrell Elementary School, has been appointed as the new fourth grade teacher.
Mr. Brandon Cabacar, Instructional Assistant of Tyrrell Elementary School, has been appointed as the new second grade teacher, taking the place of Mrs. Basnight. Mr. Cabacar is excited for this new endeavor to transition from Instructional Assistant to Classroom Teacher. He graduated from Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU), where he received a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.S. in Biblical Studies. While at MACU, he volunteered in two elementary schools within the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public School District over the course of four semesters to fulfill his Elementary Education degree requirements, including student teaching.
We know both Mrs. Basnight and Mr. Cabacar will do a fantastic job supporting our students in their new roles!
