On Monday, April 4, 2022, the TCS BOE approved the 2022-23 School Year Academic Calendars for Tyrrell County Schools. These calendars can be found on each website under "Academic Calendars."

Through the North Carolina Arts Council, the Grassroots Arts Program provides per capita-based funding for arts programming to all 100 counties across North Carolina ensuring opportunities for citizens to experience the arts in their own communities. Tyrrell County Schools will utilize these Grassroots funds to bring ComMotion – Community In Motion to the students of TES & CMS. ComMotion will be bringing the joy of dance and movement to the community! The first of 4 live workshops for PreK-8th grade students will begin Monday, March 14th.

The Tyrrell County Schools Board of Education voted 4-1 to go "mask optional" effective today, 02/22/22. The district will review all COVID procedures and provide additional information to all other measures as needed at the March 7 Board meeting.
