Our school district is informing stakeholders of a positive COVID-19 case in our TCS Athletic Department.

Welcome to the Tyrrell Elementary School 2021 Virtual Open House.

The Tyrrell County Schools Board of Education met on Monday, August 2, 20021 and voted on the following:

MASKS
-Masks will be optional for all TCS students and staff.
-BUT - ALL students on buses MUST have a mask on per federal law
-PreK are required to wear masks by federal law

COVID Protocols
-No Attestation forms
-We will continue to social distance
-We will continue to use desk shields
-There will be no remote option for students
-Water fountains will remain OFF
-Students can use the bottle filling stations
-Commons spaces (cafe) will be used again
-Sanitation stations will remain in place

Uniforms
The Uniform Policy will be dropped and one final dress code policy will be presented to the board later this week for approval.

Our school district is informing stakeholders of a positive case of COVID of a personnel member at Tyrrell Elementary School. At this time, no students have been asked to quarantine.

Our school district is informing stakeholders of a positive COVID-19 staff member at Columbia High School. At this time, there are no direct exposures that call for quarantine of other staff or students.

Tyrrell County Schools is asking TCS staff, parents, & students to complete the survey by Monday, August 2nd. Your input is valued and appreciated.

TCS is asking ALL parents/guardians to complete the 2021-22 Transportation Form indicating whether or not your child(ren) will need school bus transportation for the 2021-22 school year. *Please complete one form for each child attending Tyrrell County Schools. Those that have not completed this form online should be recieving a paper copy in the mail. Please complete this form and return it to your child's school or Central Office as soon as possible. This information is needed to plan bus routes and it is crucial that all families complete this form even if your child will not be riding a school bus this year. Thank you for your promtpness.
