Tomorrow, Monday, February 13th is an Optional Teacher Workday. There is no school for students. Also, please remember that Valentine’s Day items should not be delivered to the school as these items cannot be taken on the buses. We appreciate your support with this.

Progress reports go home on Thursday. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns regarding progress reports.

Looking ahead: We are excited to announce that we will be hosting kindergarten classroom and school tours the week of February 20th-24th. We look forward to seeing all of our upcoming kindergarten students and families join us to see what we have to offer at TES. Help us spread the word. You do not have to currently be enrolled to participate. Please check out the schedule below.

On January 13th, twenty-nine school systems and fourteen community colleges joined NC East Alliance’s STEM East leadership team at the East Carolina Heart Institute for the first meeting for a new alliance that, “will operate at the intersection of education, professional learning, workforce development, and economic development.”

We look forward to another awesome week of teaching and learning at TES. On Thursday of this week, we will have our Student Council Induction Ceremony beginning at 5:30 pm in the media center. We look forward to seeing you!

On Thursday, February 23rd, we will have our Black History Performance and math night from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. We look forward to taking you down “Motown Lane” and certainly hope you join us!

Last but certainly not least, please remember that enrollment is now open. If you have a child coming to kindergarten or know someone who has a child coming to kindergarten; don’t delay, go ahead and get them registered now:)
