On Tuesday of this week, our middle of the year iReady Diagnostic Window opens.

There is no school for students on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week in observance of Thanksgiving Break. Students will return on Monday, November 28th.

We hope all of our families are able to spend time with family and friends over the upcoming break and that it is filled with lots of love and laughter!

We would like to thank everyone for their support of our fundraiser. Because of your generosity and support; we met our goal!! Thank you so much for your support!!

Progress reports go home on Thursday of this week. Please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns.

Also, on Thursday of this week, 3rd grade parents are invited to come out and learn about Read to Achieve and what the Read to Achieve law means for their child in 3rd grade. This information session will begin at 5:30 in the Media Center. We hope to see you there.

We would like to thank everyone for their support of our first fundraiser of the year. We are just $1200 away from our $10,000 goal! You can still purchase through the website today. Please spread the word and help us meet our goal!

On Thursday of this week, we will honor our local Veterans with a special Veteran’s day program. Parents are invited to join us @ 9:00 in the gym for this very special time.

There is no school for students and staff on Friday.

Don’t forget Monday is “Say Boo to Drugs”. Students may wear Halloween costumes that meet the following criteria-nothing scary, no weapons or anything that looks like a weapon, and nothing bloody. Costume masks may only be worn during the parade at the end of the school day at 2:30.

Parents are invited to join us at 2:30 in the gym for the costume parade. Please remember that you must sign in at the front office and receive a visitor’s pass before going down to the gym. If you would like to sign your child out after the parade, you must go to the front office to do so. The front office will call down to your child’s classroom and have your child come up. Teachers will not be allowed to let students leave the gym with parents.

On Tuesday, 3rd grade students and any 4th grade transition students will take the Read to Achieve Test. Please help us out by making sure your child gets a good night’s rest, arrives at school on time, and eats a good breakfast at home or school.

Also, Tuesday of this week, we will host extended parent/teacher conferences for families who have not been able to make it in for conferences during the time frames provided. Your child’s teacher would have already set this up. If you have not heard from your child’s teacher, please reach out to him/her to get a conference scheduled.

This week students will have the opportunity to participate in Red Ribbon week. Each day has a different theme and you can find the flier documenting these themes on our Facebook page and School Story on Class Dojo.

This week also begins our parent/teacher conference window. Please be on the lookout for a phone call or Dojo message from your child’s teacher to set this up.

On Tuesday of this week, students will take Fall pictures.

Thursday is an Early Release day. Students will be released at 1:00 pm. Report cards also go home on Thursday of this week.

There is no school for students on Friday, October 28th. This is a required teacher workday.

This week our 3rd-5th grade students will take their first Check-In of the year. These assessments are given for ELA, math, and 5th grade science. Please help us out by making sure your child gets a good night’s rest, arrives at school on time, and eats a good breakfast at home or school. The testing schedule for the week is as follows:

Monday-5th grade science
Tuesday- No testing
Wednesday- 3rd/4th ELA, 5th math
Thursday- 3rd/4th math, 5th ELA
Friday- Make-up testing

Progress reports go home on Thursday of this week. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. We will have our first window of parent conferences on October 24th-November 4th. Be on the lookout for more information from your child’s teacher.

Last, but certainly not least, we will kick off our first school fundraiser of the year on Monday. Students will bring home the packet of information on Monday. We certainly hope you will consider supporting our school with this! Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.

Tomorrow, Monday, October 10th is an Early Release day for students. Students will be released at 1:00 pm.

Looking ahead, 3rd-5th grade students will participate in the first Check In (ELA, Math, Science for 5th) of the year during the week of October 17-21. Also, our Candy Man Fundraiser will also kick off on October 17th. More information will be coming home soon. We hope you will support our school.
